With that in mind, the team released one as part of their initial wave of cuts on Friday afternoon. The Vikings have released fullback Luke McNitt, who they signed just a couple of weeks ago. McNitt was one of several players that the Vikings had signed after their game against the Jackonville Jaguars that saw them suffer multiple injuries.McNitt went undrafted out of Nebraska and initially signed with the Atlanta Falcons. The Falcons waived McNitt on 20 August, and the Vikings signed him the next day after they lost fullback Johnny Stanton in that game against Jacksonville. With McNitt being more of a pure fullback, it would be a bit of an upset of the Vikings were to bring him back to the practice squad. Still, we will have to keep an eye on the situation and see what happens. We have more roster moves by the Minnesota Vikings to discuss, and will continue to discuss them as we get closer to Saturday’s deadline for rosters to be reduced to 53 players.
