A fun fact about Taipei is that it has one of the highest, per capita concentrations of convenience stores on the planet!
The list of things to do in Taipei is very long. The city doesn’t seem to sleep, and boasts plenty of 24-hour karaoke bars, a thriving music scene, and a plethora or themed restaurants (with themes including prison, Barbie, and toilets). At night, you should also go to the city limits where there are massive lanterns which can be set free after you make a wish upon them.
Other attractions include the Taipei 101 skyscraper – a 101-storey building that provides great views of the city; the National Palace Museum, which houses close to 700,000 pieces of imperial artifacts; and the city’s night markets, where you can try local specialties such as beef noodle soup, dumplings, and shaved ice desserts. If you’d like to take in some gorgeous scenery and enjoy a dip, then head to the Beitou district and Yangmingshan National Park for hot springs and beautiful mountains.
Best time to visit Taipei
